Scalaria bellastriata was named by Carpenter (1863). It is extant.

It was recombined as Scala bellastriata by Arnold (1903); it was recombined as Epitonium bellastriatum by Kanakoff and Emerson (1959); it was recombined as Asperiscala bellastriatum by Hendy (2021).
