Taxonomy
Radiopyge hamedii was named by Morzadec et al. (2002). Its type specimen is IGR 12014, a pygidium, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Haruz section, which is in a Frasnian carbonate limestone in the Bahram Formation of Iran.
