Taxonomy
Neocalmonia (Radiopyge) heratensis was named by Farsan (1981). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bed 15 of the Robat-e-Pai section, which is in a Givetian/Frasnian marine limestone in Afghanistan. It is the type species of Neocalmonia (Radiopyge).
It was recombined as Radiopyge heratensis by Morzadec et al. (2002).
