Taxonomy
Triarthrus papulosus was named by Fortey (1974). Its type specimen is SMA 84100, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil.
It was recombined as Porterfieldia papulosa by Ludvigsen and Tuffnell (1983); it was recombined as Bienvillia papulosa by Fortey and Droser (1999).
