Trilobites dentatus was named by Esmark (1833).

It was recombined as Cybele dentata by Angelin (1854); it was recombined as Atractopyge dentata by Nikolaisen (1961); it was recombined as Cybellela dentata by Pärnaste (2006).

Synonyms
  • Cybele grewingki was named by Schmidt (1881) [Cybele Grewingki].

    It was recombined as Cybele (Cybelella) grewingki by Öpik (1937); it was synonymized subjectively with Atractopyge dentata by Nikolaisen (1961).
