Taxonomy
Lichas halli was named by Foerste (1888) [According to Bassler (1915, p. 35), Lichas halli was named by Foerste in 1888. Foerste (1917, p. 44) reported a specimen of Amphilichas sp., from the "... Whitewater division of the Richmond group, at Richmond, Indiana, by John Misener", which he said "... evidently is closely related to Amphilichas halli, Foerste, "... from the Corryville member of the Maysville group , at Cincinnati, Ohio."].
It was recombined as Amphilichas halli by Bassler (1915); it was recombined as Arctinurus halli by Foerste (1919); it was recombined as Platylichas halli by Ross (1979); it was recombined as Autoloxolichas halli by Thomas and Holloway (1988).
