Taxonomy
Phacops (Chasmops) wesenbergensis was named by Schmidt (1881). Its type specimen is PIRASM 4248/81, a cephalon/head, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Chasmops wesenbergensis by Roomusoks (1953); it was recombined as Toxochasmops (Toxochasmops) wesenbergensis by Roomusoks (1998).
