Taxonomy
Megaraphidia hopkinsi was named by Archibald and Makarkin (2021). Its type specimen is UWBM 77544, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is One Mile Creek, north of Princeton, which is in a Ypresian lacustrine horizon in the Allenby Formation of Canada.
