Taxonomy
Bubodens magnus was named by Wilson (1987) [genotype]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Red Owl Quarry, which is in a Lancian terrestrial horizon in the Fox Hills Formation of South Dakota. It is the type species of Bubodens.
