Taxonomy
Caenolambda jepseni was named by Simons (1960). Its type specimen is PU 14863, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Caenolambda jepseni Site, which is in a Torrejonian terrestrial horizon in the Fort Union Formation of Wyoming.
