Aspidium dentatum was named by Fontaine (1889). It is not extant.

It was recombined as Dryopteris dentata by Knowlton (1898); it was recombined as Dryopterites dentata by Berry (1911), Knowlton (1919).

  • Aspidium microcarpum was named by Fontaine (1889). It is not extant.

    It was recombined as Dryopteris microcarpa by Knowlton (1898); it was synonymized subjectively with Dryopterites dentata by Knowlton (1919).
