Taxonomy
Spinosocyathus was named by Zhuravleva (1960) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm Tomm-u Cm Boto-l]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Archaeocyathida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Copleicyathidae by Debrenne et al. (2015).
