Taxonomy
Epigaulus minor was named by Hibbard and Phillis (1945). Its type locality is WaKeeny (KU Locality 29), which is in a Clarendonian floodplain siltstone in the Ogallala Formation of Kansas.
It was recombined as Ceratogaulus minor by Korth (2000).
