Teratopodus malarguensis
Taxonomy
Teratopodus malarguensis was named by Tomaselli et al. (2022). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is trackway An-1/Tw-1, a footprint, and it is a trace fossil. Its type locality is Agua del Choique tracksite (Anacleto) (An-1, An-2, An-3), which is in a Campanian/Campanian floodplain sandstone/mudstone in the Anacleto Formation of Argentina. It is the type species of Teratopodus.
