Wakinyantanka styxi
Taxonomy
Wakinyantanka styxi was named by Lockley et al. (2014). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is RM- DRC97-001-01-08 and RMDRC97-001-10-16 (casts, UCM 213.1-213.4), a footprint (trackway), and it is a trace fossil. Its type locality is Holsti Ranch tracksite, which is in a Maastrichtian terrestrial claystone in the Hell Creek Formation of South Dakota. It is the type species of Wakinyantanka.
