Brighstoneus simmondsi
Taxonomy
Brighstoneus simmondsi was named by Lockwood et al. (2021). Its type specimen is MIWG 6344, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Grange Chine cliff face (MIWG/BMNH), which is in a Barremian alluvial fan siltstone/claystone in the Wessex Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Brighstoneus.
