Taxonomy
Hutchemys walkerorum was named by Jasinski et al. (2022). Its type specimen is BDM 063, a carapace (incomplete carapace), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 1975-BDM-01, which is in a Lancian terrestrial mudstone in the Hell Creek Formation of North Dakota.
