Potanichthys wushaensis
Taxonomy
Thoracopterus wushaensis was named by Tintori et al. (2012). Its type specimen is GMPKU P-3061, a skeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Layer 43, Nimaigu Village, Wusha Township, Xingyi, which is in a Longobardian marine limestone in the Falang Formation of China.
It was recombined as Potanichthys wushaensis by Shen and Arratia (2022).
