Cheruscodon balvensis

Taxonomy
Cheruscodon balvensis was named by Martin et al. (2021). Its type specimen is WMNM P79404, a mandible (right dentary fragment with p4 and alveoli for p2e3 and m1e2), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Balve-Beckum limestone quarry, which is in a Barremian/Aptian karst claystone/siltstone in Germany. It is the type species of Cheruscodon.
