Cifellilestes ciscoensis
Taxonomy
Cifellilestes ciscoensis was named by Davis et al. (2022). Its type specimen is OMNH 80538, a partial skull (right skull fragment preserving partial palate and snout, and postcanine dentition), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cisco Mammal Quarry, OMNH V1728, which is in a Tithonian crevasse splay mudstone/sandstone in the Morrison Formation of Utah. It is the type species of Cifellilestes.
