Taxonomy
Rhenopterus waterstoni was named by Tetlie et al. (2004). It is not extant. Its type locality is Gogo Station, which is in a Frasnian basinal (siliceous) shale/siltstone in the Gogo Formation of Australia.
It was recombined as Adelophthalmus waterstoni by Poschmann (2006).
