Taxonomy
Dakotadens morrowi was named by Eaton (1993) [genotype]. Its type locality is MNA 1067, Bulldog Bench, which is in a Cenomanian/Cenomanian crevasse splay mudstone in the Naturita Formation of Utah. It is the type species of Dakotadens.
