Dakotallomys pelycomyoides
Taxonomy
Dakotamys pelycomyoides was named by Tedrow and Korth (1997). Its type specimen is UCMP 82834, a mandible (right mandible with p4-m3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Slim Buttes Brule F, which is in a Whitneyan terrestrial horizon in South Dakota.
It was recombined as Dakotallomys pelycomyoides by Tedrow and Korth (1999).
