Agnostus lundgreni was named by Tullberg (1880).

It was recombined as Ptychagnostus (Triplagnostus) lundgreni by Westergård (1946); it was recombined as Lejopyge lundgreni by Robison (1984); it was recombined as Pseudophalacroma lundgreni by Peng and Robison (2000); it was recombined as Aotagnostus lundgreni by Naimark and Pegel (2017).
