Taxonomy
Dolichometopsis mansfieldi was named by Resser (1939). Its type specimen is USNM 98511a-d and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 19s, which is in a Delamaran/Marjumian carbonate limestone in the Langston Formation of Idaho.
