Erinaceus neyvelii
Taxonomy
Erinaceus neyvelii was named by Thiergart and Frantz (1963). It is not extant. Its type locality is Neyveli, which is in a Miocene marginal marine lignite in the Neyveli Formation of India. It is the type species of Erinaceus.
