Taxonomy
Pseudogeckoolithus tirboulensis was named by Vianey-Liaud and Garcia (2003). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is ACH2-330, an egg, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Achlouj 2 (ACH2), which is in a Maastrichtian terrestrial mudstone in the Irbzer Formation of Morocco.
