Taxonomy
Isoetites indicus was named by Bose and Roy (1964). It is not extant. Its type locality is Pur River Section, Trambau, which is in an Aptian/Albian fluvial-lacustrine shale/sandstone in the Bhuj Formation of India.
It was synonymized subjectively with Isoetes janaianus by Chandra and Tewari (1991).
