Desmodus stocki

Taxonomy
Desmodus stocki was named by Jones (1958). Its type specimen is LACM (CIT) 3129, a partial skull (cranium lacking post-incisor dentition on the left side, zygomatic arches and auditory bullae), and it is a 3D body fossil.

Synonyms
  • Desmodus magnus was named by Gut (1959). It is not extant. Its type specimen is Florida Geological Survey No. V-5935, a mandible (left dentary with C, P3, M1).

    It was synonymized subjectively with Desmodus stocki by Martin (1972), Kurten and Anderson (1980).
