Austropediomys marshalli
Taxonomy
Austropediomys marshalli was named by Carneiro et al. (2018). Its type specimen is DGM 808-M, a maxilla (incomplete left maxilla with M2–4), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is São José de Itaborai, which is in an Eocene fissure fill marl in the Itaboraí Formation of Brazil. It is the type species of Austropediomys.
