Dzavui landeri
Taxonomy
Dzavui landeri was named by Jiménez-Hidalgo et al. (2022). Its type specimen is UMPE 945, a mandible (left dentary fragment preserving the alveolus of the p3, and the p4 and m1), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Santiago Yolomécatl, Iniyoo Local Fauna, which is in a Bartonian/Rupelian fluvial-lacustrine mudstone/chert in the Yolomécatl Formation of Mexico. It is the type species of Dzavui.
