Isocrinites pendulus was named by Meyer (1836). It is extant.

It was recombined as Isocrinus pendulus by Donovan et al. (2005), Hess and Gale (2010); it was recombined as Isocrinus (Isocrinus) pendulus by Hess and Messing (2011).
