Taxonomy
Goniodromites scarabaea was named by Wright and Wright (1950). It is not extant. It is the type species of Sabellidromites.

It was recombined as Sabellidromites scarabaea by Schweitzer et al. (2010) and Schweitzer et al. (2012).
