Taxonomy
Eocalcinus gerardbretoni was named by Ferratges et al. (2021). Its type specimen is MPZ 2020/617, a claw, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Yeste, which is in a Priabonian reef, buildup or bioherm rudstone in the Arguis Formation of Spain.
