Taxonomy
Diogenes augustinus was named by Ferratges et al. (2020). Its type specimen is MPZ2020/54 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Between Belsué and Lúsera, which is in a Bartonian prodelta sandstone in the Arguis Formation of Spain.
