Taxonomy
Wimanella inyoensis was named by Walcott (1908). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UNSM loc. 8b, Tollgate Canyon, White-Inyo Mountains, which is in a Dyeran carbonate limestone in the Poleta Formation of California.
