Valamunida haeggi
Taxonomy
Valamunida haeggi was named by Klompmaker and Robins (2019). Its type specimen is NRM-PZ Ar68001A, a carapace, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Zachariassendalen, east of Barentsburg, which is in a Thanetian prodelta limestone in the Basilika Formation of Svalbard and Jan Mayen. It is the type species of Valamunida.
