Oxythyreus izetti
Taxonomy
Plagiophthalmus izetti was named by Bishop (1988). Its type specimen is USNM 418171 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS D8090, which is in a Campanian marine shale in the Pierre Shale Formation of Colorado.
It was recombined as Oxythyreus izetti by Schweitzer et al. (2010).
