Taxonomy
Paranecrocarcinus milbournei was named by Collins (2010). Its type specimen is BMNH In. 63771, a carapace, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Calabar-Akamkpa road, 1 km N of junction [Odukpani Fm], which is in a Cenomanian offshore shale in the Odukpani Formation of Nigeria.
It was recombined as Pseudonecrocarcinus milbournei by Schweitzer et al. (2016).
