Taxonomy
Cretamaja klompmakeri was named by González-León and Moreno-Bedmar (2019). Its type specimen is IGM-11382, a carapace, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is El Ojito, San Antonio Texcala, which is in a Barremian carbonate marl in the Zapotitlán Formation of Mexico.
