Taxonomy
Thysananthus aethiopicus was named by Bouju et al. (2022). It is not extant. Its type specimen is NIGPAS PB23742, a leaf. Its type locality is Ethiopian amber (NIGPAS collection), which is in a Miocene terrestrial amber in Ethiopia.
