Taxonomy
Raksasamys tikusbesar was named by Turvey et al. (2017). Its type specimen is LL 2014/9, a mandible (right hemimandible with m1-3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Liang Lawuala cave, which is in a Holocene cave horizon in Indonesia.
