Cermatops vieta
Taxonomy
Cermatops vieta was named by Shergold (1980). Its type specimen is CPC 15347a, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lily Creek Section K199, which is in an Iverian open shallow subtidal grainstone/mudstone in the Chatsworth Formation of Australia. It is the type species of Cermatops.
