Eutypomys montanensis

Taxonomy
Eutypomys montanensis was named by Wood and Konizeski (1965). Its type specimen is USNM 22819, a mandible (left lower jaw with P4-M2, the alveolus of M3, and a crushed and broken incisor), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tavenner Ranch 2, which is in an Arikareean terrestrial horizon in the Renova Formation of Montana.
