Taxonomy
Antrimpos noricus was named by Pinna (1974). Its type specimen is MCSNB 3380, a carapace, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cene, Seriana Valley, which is in an Alaunian basinal (carbonate) limestone in the Zorzino Limestone Formation of Italy.
It was recombined as Acanthochirana norica by Smith et al. (2022).
