Taxonomy
Hirsutisoma grimaldii was named by Botero-Trujillo et al. (2022). Its type specimen is AMNH_IZC 00357137, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Burmese amber, Kachin amber (AMNH collection), which is in a Cenomanian terrestrial amber in Myanmar.
