Taxonomy
Harthofia polzi was named by Schweigert (2011). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Echinodermata, Zandt, Plattenkalk, Solnhofen Area, which is in a Tithonian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Solnhofen Platenkalk Formation of Germany.
