Taxonomy
Ceratocephala coalescens was named by Van Ingen (1901). Its type specimen is PU 57694a and is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Odontopleura coalescens by Raymond (1916); it was recombined as Kettneraspis coalescens by Holloway (2021).
