Spheroolithus quantouensis
Taxonomy
Spheroolithus quantouensis was named by Zhang (2022). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is DLNHM D154, an egg, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 1 km southwest of Quantou railway station, which is in an Aptian/Albian terrestrial horizon in the Quantou Formation of China.
