Taxonomy
Dadoxylon barakarense was named by Surange and Saxena (1959). It is not extant. Its type locality is Kharkhari Colliery, Jharia Coalfield, which is in an Artinskian/Kungurian fluvial-lacustrine horizon in India.
It was recombined as Araucarioxylon barakarense by Maheshwari (1972), Chandra and Tewari (1991).
